Online poker room Betfair Poker has launched a new series of advertisements using comic book-style illustrations along with real life imagery, a technique that is sometimes referred to as rotoscoping, to attract what it calls a ‘new breed of player.’ Betfair launched this marketing campaign through Albion, which has handled advertising campaigns for the UK based betting company before. The new campaign is meant to appeal to expert online poker players but also newcomers to the game. Albion belives that the campaign will resonate with this new breed of poker player and will help to attract them to Betfair Poker.
