The North Dakota Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Championship recently wrapped up after 1,300 players took part, including poker players from Canada, making this event an international affair. The fifth year of this event was a record breaker in terms of attendance, and a definite sign that poker is going strong in the State. This is helped in part by a positive outlook on poker by Congressman Jim Kasper - Republican – who floated the idea of legalizing online poker events in the State. Last year’s champ, Jeff Nehring, managed to make the money again this year but did not survive to defend his title.
