Down on their luck residents of Ohio are crossing state lines to learn how to deal poker. These poker hopefuls are attending a school for aspiring casino dealers in Michigan. The ABC School of Bartending and Casino College is preparing students to take jobs when casinos in Ohio, notably in Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo, are open for business. The new casinos planned offer some 7,500 full-time jobs. The classes for casino poker dealing run about 300 hours and costs about $1,000. While certification is not a requirement for dealing cards in a casino, the students hope their professional training will give them an edge.
