Football QB Sidelined Due to Poker Play

Football

A Middle Tennessee State quarterback was suspended from play after his involvement in several poker games. Dwight Dasher has been suspended by the University and the NCAA indefinitely. According to reports Dasher accepted money to play in several poker games, via a loan. This breaks the rules of the NCAA, which states that athletes can not accept money for such things. It is not known if he was playing poker at a loss of if he was wining, but either way Dasher must await the judgment of the NCAA, and can not play football again until he is reinstated by that body. Last season Dasher threw for 2,800 yards and rushed for an additional 1,150.
