Estonian Online Poker License Granted to PokerStars

Online poker room PokerStars was recent granted an “Online Poker Activity License” in Estonia. They are one of the first online poker rooms to get approval. Recently the Estonian Tax and Customs Board blocked access to foreign online poker sites. One reason that the online poker room may have been granted the privilege is because they ran a live poker tournament staged in Estonia’s capital, Tallinn, as part of the PokerStars European Poker Tour. The online poker room will be starting up their annual World Championship of Online Poker in September.
