A man charged with contributing to the overdose death of a college student allegedly used a poker game he ran as a way to connect with customers. James McDaniel has been accused of selling cocaine and meth to college students who came to play at his poker game, according to the testimony of four young men who were students at Southern Methodist University, where many of McDaniel’s alleged customers came from.
