The dog track in Escambia County, Florida, may soon add a poker room. The Pensacola Greyhound Track is planning an open room at the end of January. While construction has not begun on the poker room yet, the estimates on size put it at around 9,000 square-feet. The green light was given in February to allow poker to be played at the dog track, and track officials have started taking applications for jobs to run the poker room. Some 40 applications have been taken, but the poker room is expected to employ up to 150 people in poker related jobs.
