College Poker Championship for North America

The North America Online College Poker Championship has officially begun, sponsored by online poker room CakePoker and run by LifeofSports. This weekly series of poker tournaments are freerolls, which means they are free to enter for college students at the appropriate schools. Any college or university student in North America is able to participate and compete for the grand prize of a trip for two to Cancun, Mexico, and free tuition for a year. The prize package is valued at around $20k. The top three players of each week will compete in the finals in May, where the final grand prize will be doled out to the winner.
