Professional football star Brendan Fevola has admitted he has an online poker addiction. It is a result of this and horse racing and poker machines that Fevola says he is broke. He also has outstanding debts of around $300,000, most of which is owed to bookies. Fevola playes for the Brisbane Lions Australian rules in the AFL, and Lions CEO Michael Bowers wants “every bookie in Australia” to refuse him credit and not accept his bets. Rumor has it that pro poker players would always welcome Fevola to the table, where he was seen as a big fish, sometimes referred to as a wale.
