The Excalibur casino opened up automated poker tables about three months ago and the word is that the poker room manager is happy with their performance and the trial period is over: the PokerPro tables from PokerTek are there to stay. The Excalibur was the first Las Vegas poker room to try out the no-dealer poker tables, which created a buzz and concern over whether or not customers would enjoy playing at a table run by a compute program. According to Excalibur’s Poker Performance Manager Ed Peterson, 90 percent of those poker players who try the table like it.
