Animals Benefit From Poker Game

Poker charity is nothing new, but this time the proceeds are going to the dogs. The beneficiaries of this charity poker tournament are the animals that are helped by the Marion Area Humane Society. The Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament was held recently with 40 players, with the top six earning money for their troubles. All told the charity event raised nearly $2,000 from buy ins as well as a number of other methods including donations, sponsors and raffle tickets. Charity poker has reached a high recently as many online poker rooms continue to raise money for relief in earthquake ravaged.
