The Sands poker room recently opened and has not been wanting for players since. More than a hundred people hit the gaming floor on Sunday as the doors opened at 8 in the morning, many of them waiting in line since six. Pennsylvania casinos have offered slot machines since 2006, but now the highly anticipated poker tables are open for business. Both casinos and poker players have expressed excitement that the action is on in Allentown.
