Vina del Mar Poker Event Cancled

The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) Chile event in Vina del Mar has been canceled. The online poker room Poker Stars, who sponsors the LAPT, announced the cancellation yesterday. The event was to run from March 19th to 23rd but was canceled as a result of the earthquake that hit the South American nation on February 27th. While the quake hit approximately 175 miles north of the Vina del Mar Casino and Resort the country is still in a state of recovery. Aftershocks were felt in Chile on March 11th, one stronger than the quake that hit Haiti previously.
