A man involved in a poker robbery was recently sentenced to life in prison. The man and two others used a shotgun and two handguns in the robbery last April. The use of firearms made the crime aggravated robbery, which is a first degree felony. The crime carried a five to 99 year penalty, but Deaon Deshawn Hargrove had a prior conviction, which meant his minimum sentence would be 15 years. The jury deliberated for one hour before returning the suggested sentence. The other two robbers still await sentencing.
