In Anchorage, Alaska there is a once-a-year winter celebration called Fur Rendezvous, and this year poker has been added to the mix of festivities. More than 200,000 people are expected to show in downtown Anchorage for the February events, partially for the $10k World Series of Poker main event seat prize package that will be up for grabs. This is the prize for the winner of the state Texas Holdem Championship Poker Tournament which will be held during Rondy, the nickname for the Fur Rendezvous. To aid in the celebration poker pros and pals Phil Gordon and Rafe Furst will come to Anchorage to give a poker lesson to the interested.
