David "The Dragon" Pham is Card Player Media Poker Player of the Year

David "The Dragon" Pham has claimed his prize – Player of the Year, so named by Card Player Media. The Dragon grabbed this honor when he won the No Limit Holdem event at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic and more than $279,000. This put him over the top in points, and no one could catch him, making it just a matter of time before his victory was officially recognized and announced. He is also a two-time POY winner, winning his first title in 2000, and one of only three to have done so (along with T.J. Cloutier and Men Nguyen.)
