World Poker Open Coming

The 2008 World Poker Open will get started shortly after the New Year with preliminary events kicking off on January 3rd at the Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, MS. This is part of the Season Six WPT (World Poker Tour) season, and one of the more popular events. The preliminary events will end on January 19th, and the main event starts on the next day and goes through the 24th. The $10k event will award a trophy and a seat into the 2007/2008 WPT final event, as well as a cash prize likely in excess of a million dollars.
