In the November election cycle the voters in Ohio said no to gambling, and Ohio's Governor-elect Ted Strickland says that's okay. While West Virginia and Pennsylvania have made choices that are pro gambling and pro poker, Ohio remains poker free, and Strickland says that is what is best for Ohio. It is not that the Buckeye State couldn't benefit from it financially, but that there are better routes to benefit the state government, according to Strickland. The Governor-elect made it clear that he has nothing against gambling from a moral point of view.
