WSOP Poker Prize Remains Half Frozen

By launchpoker, Dec 23, 2006

Jamie Gold has half his money, and it looks like it is going to stay that way a while longer. Gold won this year's Main Event at the World Series of Poker, which blew all records when it tallied up to $12 million. However half the funds were frozen after disgruntled Bruce Crispin Leyser claimed they were owed to him as part of an arraignment. After a few recent fillings from both sides of the issue, U.S. District Court Judge Roger Hunt declined a motion from Gold requesting a removal of the freeze on the other $6 million.
