Britain Had Great Online Poker Year

While the poker craze started in the United States of America, countries with more accepting gambling laws are the ones cashing in on the industry, and Britain is no exception. In 2005 three companies floated publicly on the London stock market after the industry had raked in over one billion Pounds. PartyGaming lead the charge, with five hundred million Pounds in revenue and floated for over four and half billion Pounds.PartyGaming’s chief executive Richard Segal is excited not only about the phenomenal success his company is having, but about the whole concept of his company. He commented how his company had invented nothing new, just found ways to take tried and true games like poker and put them in people’s homes and even on the go in their pockets, with mobile phone poker technology.Britain and other countries around the world stand to make a fair bit more during the holiday season as poker trappings become hot ticket items, including in the USA.
