Round Two of WSOP $12 Million Fight

By launchpoker, Dec 20, 2006

U.S. District Judge Roger Hunt has a tough decision to make. The winner of the 2006 World Series of Poker says he only offered a British television producer a portion of his winnings out of the kindness of his heart, but the producer says he is entitled to half as part of a business deal. As the figure Jamie Gold won is $12 million, half is quite a bit, and that half is on hold until Judge Hunt makes his call. The latest news in the case is that the producer, Crispin Leyser, has filed petition number two last week - this time specifically asserting that the deal between him and Gold was of a business nature, not the offer of a gift as Gold claims.
