Poker Tourney to Raise Money for Stem Cell

Stem cell research is a touchy and controversial topic, so it is with a certain touch of irony that the Aspen Group chose to raise money for stem cell treatment via poker, a much maligned game. Two events designed to raise money for stem cell treatment for three women with spinal injuries were organized to be played in Jimmy's restaurant in Aspen. No buy in was required, but donations were encouraged, and an average of $200 per person was raised to send the women to India for the treatment.
