Poker, by its very nature, is a competitive game; whether in tournaments or in cash games, the player with the most chips wins in the end. With the card game enjoying unprecedented popularity around the globe, tournament organizers and TV producers are always on the hunt for new ways of presenting and playing poker in order to keep it fresh. In a recent event that was filmed for Fox Sports Network, the idea was to pit countries against each other to determine who was the best.There was a twist however; on one side was the group of American players, and on the other was—the rest of the world. The World Challenge Cup was shot at the Palms, with Chris “Jesus” Ferguson running the US Team as captain, and Tony G acting as captain for the Rest of the World Team. The show will air on FSN in the near future.
