39th World Series of Poker Starts with Championship Event

The traditional way to wrap up a season of the World Series of Poker is to play the $10,000 championship event, but this next season will be run a bit differently: they are going to start the season with a $10,000 championship event. They are still ending the WSOP with the Main Event, a $10,000 No Limit Holdem championship event, but they are planning on more than one. The first event will be a $10,000 Pot Limit championship event, and a few more events will have "championship" appended on them, all in different poker disciplines or special entry events, like the Seniors.
