In a recent press release the Canadian Affiliate Management Company (CanAffco) announced the launch of a new poker tour, with the first event coming online this Wednesday the 19th of December. The CanAffco Affiliate Poker Tour is being launched with the inaugural event taking place at PrivyPoker.com, with the added bonus of $2,000 injected into the prize pool.
All affiliates are encouraged to play, regardless of the program or programs that they are affiliated with. Prizes and cash will be added to each and ever tournament, and all tournaments are free to enter and play. There is no requirement for a player to be an affiliate of the particular host site (for example, a player does not have to be an affiliate of PrivyPoker to play in the first event) but the player will naturally have to open an account with the host site to play in the event.
The President of CanAffco, Gian Perroni, said in the press release that the Affiliate Poker Tour "is the first of its kind", considering that it is being held 100% online. Also unique to the CanAffco Affiliate Poker Tour is the fact that it is "free for all affiliates to join, regardless of the types of businesses that they represent."
To play in the kick off event players must pre-register at www.CanAffcoAPT.com, which is completely free of charge. Players will see upcoming events at Walker Poker and VegasPoker247 for starters, and more events are going to be announced in the near future.
