The UK newspaper group Associated Newspapers recently struck a deal with a Gibraltar-based white label games provider in order to put out an online poker site. The site, along with an online bingo operation, will be part of the Metro.co.uk website. Metro, which was founded in 1999, reaches 13 British cities with its circulation and is the fourth largest newspaper in the UK. It is also the top free newspaper with over 1.1 million copies distributed daily. The website gets 1.8 million unique visitors each month, which likely launched the idea of a poker and bingo site.
