When Frank DeSena was shot in November while playing at an underground poker club in New York City, the men with the guns had jumped from simple armed robbery to murder. Steven Perez, of Tampa, Florida was arrested and held at in the Manhattan Detention Center, then moved to the Robert N. Davoren Center on December 3rd, and has just been charged with second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. It is not clear if he was the triggerman that shot DeSena, but security footage puts him on the scene when a dropped shotgun discharged and struck DeSena, later killing him.
