David Pham was already in the lead when it came to this year's Card Player Magazine Player of the Year race, but he held his lead by only 300 points over his closest threat, Jonathan Little. Should Little do well or win a POY ranked game, he would over take the man they call "The Dragon." Pham doesn't have to worry much about that now after a victory at a $2,500 buy in event at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic. The win bought Pham more than a thousand points, putting his lead up over 1,400. Pham is trying to join the small group of players who have won the POY award twice.
