The honor of winning "Tournament Performance of the Year" went to young Annette Obrestad, who is the youngest ever to get the award at the European Poker Awards. This is appropriate because she is also the youngest ever to win a World Series of Poker main event at the WSOP Europe this year. Poker Europa Chief Nic Szeremeta presented her with the award, granted because of her WSOPE victory, which was dubbed "phenomenal" by the Chief. Carlos Mortensen was also up for the award, due to his being the first player ever to hold a win in the championship events for both the WSOP and the World Poker Tour.
