There were 160 people who put up the $5,000 to play in the latest 2007-2008 World Series of Poker Circuit, the Winter Bayou Poker Challenge at Harrah's New Orleans. The total prize money was over $750k, and everyone wanted to get the lion's share. That almost went to Atlanta poker pro Josh Arieh, who put the fear of poker into his heads up opponent Andy Philachack from Texas. Arieh couldn't pull it off in the end, however, settling for second place and a prize of $130k. Philachack took nearly double that as the first place champ, pocketing over $247k. As the winner Philachack also got a gold championship ring, and a seat in the 2008 WSOP main event in Las Vegas next summer.
