The man that started it all regarding the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act has been rewarded with losing his job, a fact that some believe has a direct connection to the poker related legislation. Iowa Rep. Jim Leach, an obvious target of a grassroots movement spurred by the Poker Players Alliance, lost the November election. Leach's loss is being pointed at by the PPA and others as a sign of the times, and a positive move for the future of online poker. PPA President Michael Bolcerek says that this is a sign that people care strongly about online poker and will consider that topic when casting their votes in the future.
