When Aaron Todd, a reporter for Casino City, set out to win a seat to the 2007 WSOP Main Event, he started his journey at PKR.com. When that site shut down US operations, Todd asked for a check for his total winnings - sixty cents. When he wrote a column asking readers what to do with the money, one suggested he trade it for something, and the best offer came from Golden Palace Poker, who gave him a nice set of 500 poker chips for it, partially following their appreciation of interesting eBay trades, such as William Shatner's kidney stone.
