Poker Sector Jobs Folding Away

Thanks to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, some workers in the poker industry may have a short-stack Christmas. According to Paul McGuire, writing in the news portion of online site Poker Player, the UIGEA is having an impact on who gets to keep their poker related jobs. The loss of ad revenues from large poker companies that have pulled out of the US thanks to the UIGEA is mostly responsible, according to McGuire, as those companies have taken a hit in loss of revenues after dumping the most lucrative part of the market to stay true to their public-trade charters.
