The most recent World Series of Poker World Champion is changing digs. When Australian Joe Hachem won the 2005 WSOP Main Event, he mentioned he might move across the globe to America, and now it seems he is preparing to do just that. Hachem loves his homeland but has to face up to the fact that America is where the biggest tournaments take place, and there are a lot more of them in the US to chose from. As he is planning on making a living playing poker for a good while, it only makes sense to be where the action is. This would also put him in a prime spot to act on any sponsorship offers he may get. He recently applied for a visa on the grounds of earning potential and extraordinary ability, and if granted the visa will likely move to Beverly Hills, where he will live for six months of the year, spending the rest of the year in Australia.
