The Peppermill's 2007 Fall Poker Tournament paid out over half a million dollars and has been declared a success. The event, which ran in the months of October and November, paid out $529,000 to those of the 2,500 people attending who wound up "in the money", which is poker means winning a cash prize. Some wound up earning more than thirty thousand dollars, and one player won a cruise. Thomas Christopher of Las Vegas was voted best all-around player, his prize being a cruise for two to the Caribbean.
