The man who is expected to become the Speaker of the House next year is looking out for the interests of poker players in his state, drafting a bill that would add to Pennsylvania's gambling laws, allowing poker and blackjack and some of the slot casinos just opening. DeWeese's press secretary, Tom Andrews, downplayed the draft, saying, "This is just a concept that he supports to reduce property taxes." The details are sketchy, as the draft is in the early stages and no word is out on whether Texas Holdem will be included in the definition of "poker."
