The Sandcastle Lounge in Holyoke has video poker machines, which should come as no surprise. What might surprise those on Northampton Street who pop in to the lounge is that the corporation that owns the establishment has been accused of rigging those machines for illegal gambling. Daniel A. Knapp, a 75-year-old former Holyoke alderman, was in Hampden Superior Court on Tuesday, denying charges of possessing of apparatus for registering bets on behalf of DKM Corp. Mr. Knapp maintains he has no legal connection with the corporation, but says as he is DKM's liquor license holder.
