While Jerry Yang was scheduled to appear at the Asian-Pacific Poker Tour event in Macau, and in fact did his best to appear at the event, problems with his Visa kept him in the United States. The event, the first ever of its kind in the People's Republic of China, is sponsored by PokerStars online poker room, which also sponsors the current World Series of Poker champ Yang. While Yang is a resident of the US, he holds refuge status, and thus needed a Visa to enter Hong Kong. When trouble cropped up at the airport Yang was refused permission to board his flight and had to remain behind.
