The United Kingdom has taken a different track than the United States when it comes to dealing with online poker, and it looks like they may continue the trend with live poker as well. In many towns and hamlets across England pub owners wanted to offer poker in their establishments with no strings attached, and it looks like they might finally get their way. Currently only pubs with a special permit from their local council are allowed to do offer poker, but with the new Gambling Act pubs will no longer be required to have a special permit for the games from next Autumn.
