Both the United Kingdom and North America have a new poker series to pay attention to now that the University Poker Championships have officially launched. These events are free to enter and have prizes for the winners, including free tuition, a trip to a European Poker Tour event (for the North American player) and a trip to the World Series of Poker Europe for those players in the United Kingdom (where the event is held.) The University Poker Championships are run by Life of Sports, Inc and are designed for students, who will play in weekly freeroll online tournaments and attempt to progress to final events for the big prizes.
