A weekend poker tournament held in Lakewood, Colorado on Saturday put the Colorado Bureau of Investigation on edge as they examined whether or not there were illegal poker operations going on. The event, which organizers insisted was being held for charity, threw out some red flags for the CBI. The concern is that the event is breaking the law, but the organizers, who are holding the event to raise money for the families of fallen State Troopers, say that people can play for free and still win prizes, that the entry fee is a donation. State Troopers who participate agree with this perspective, but the CBI is still evaluating the matter.
