The Wednesday hearing conducted by House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich) sought to examine the case of online poker in the United States, and a number of online gaming and poker supporters reported that things went as well as could be expected. The hearing, titled "On Establishing Consistent Enforcement Policies in the Context of Online Wagers", examined the situation from all sides, hearing from the lawmakers who drafted legislation against online poker to those who were for it, including pro poker player Annie Duke. Part of Duke's testimony covered age verification and how it should not be a consideration thanks to current technology.
