Harrah's Picks Up London Clubs International

What the owner of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) want, it gets, and Harrah's Entertainment - also the world's largest casino owner and operator - recently picked up London Clubs. The shareholders said yes to Harrah's latest offer of $570 million, making Harrah's the majority holder of London Clubs International stock, which may be temporary, as they have made it clear they seek all of the stock by the end of 2006. Operating seven UK casinos as well as having four others in development, London Club also manages two Egyptian casinos and one in South Africa, and functions as a consultant with a Lebanon casino as well.
