According to the managing editor of Casino City, an outfit that studies casino trends and issues, online poker hasn't hit its plateau yet. Vin Narayanan is convinced that the online poker craze hasn't plateaued, and that instead it is still peaking. Online poker, despite recent reversals in the US following the signing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act into law in mid October, has a long way to fall before it is done with, and live poker is still peaking as well. New players hit places like the new poker room at Foxwoods ever day, according to their tournament director Michael Ward. With new poker TV shows and movies coming out, it would seem poker has a long way to go before it peaks.
