Foxwoods WPT Day One Drama

As the World Poker Tour event was playing out on its first day at the Foxwoods casino, a questionable action by a poker dealer had a pro furious, an amateur happy, and a floor man put on the spot. JC Tran was in a hand with an opponent who thought he was out of the game. He was all in with Ace Seven when Tran showed that he had a set of nines. The player tossed his cards towards the dealer face down and left the table before the last two cards were dealt, assuming defeat. The dealer turned the cards up, dealt the last two cards, and the player ended up winning with a runner-runner straight. Tran demaned a decision from a floor man, who ruled that the cards were live and the unnamed player won.
