The very first online poker site that specifically targets Southeast Asia, as well as the Asian market in Europe, has launched recently in India. The play-money online site, MaharajaClub.com, kicked off on Wednesday, a move the Asian owned Maharajah Gaming made to widen its reach in the Asian market, according to a company press release. The new site launches despite a recent change in the US legislature concerning online gambling, and specifically online poker, and may be able to capitalize on the vacuum created in the market. The press release stated that the point behind the Maharajah Club is to bring the fun side of poker to the gaming market in India.
