World Tavern Poker Event a Success

The third annual World Tavern Poker Open was held on October 20 - 23 at Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel, best known for being the birthplace of the World Series of Poker. Twenty Four states were represented at the World Tavern Poker Open, with over 300 players converging on Las Vegas for the event. Four days of poker and parties made up the Open, which is often referred to as the World's Best Poker Party. Helicopter rides to the Grand Canyon to play heads-up poker, a contest that had participants diving into the roof top pool to retrieve poker cards, even poker marriages took place during the Open. Heads-up and lady-only events rounded out the fun.
