By launchpoker, Oct 24, 2006

Much of the game of poker deals in perception, as well as deception, so rumors are a common thing in the poker world. One of the latest to hit the internet revolves around a new poker reality series that would use professional poker players and others in the gambling industry as celebrity judges. Comparisons have been made to American Idol insofar as the show's format. Phil Ivey has been mentioned by the show's producers as a potential judge as well as David Williams, and apparently Doyle "Texas Dolly" Brunson has signed on as an announcer for the show. Others mentioned as potential judges, or otherwise involved with the show, include Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, a player well-known for his black cowboy hat and dark sunglasses, as well as his long hair. Ferguson is also a well-known personality and considered a favorite choice for a judge.
