It started on October 20th, the latest in a string of World Poker Tour events in the current season, this one playing out at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. Fifteen preliminary events will run, with buy ins from a low of $300 up to a buy in of $5,000. Plenty of No Limit Holdem games will be held, along with Omaha and other game types, leading up to the final event, a $10,000 buy in No Limit Texas Holdem freezeout event. The winner will not only take home the lion’s share of the prize pool but also the traditional WPT chip set and a seat in the WPT season final, worth $25k. The final event will run on November 5th.
