At the Welsh-settled town of Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, top US Collegians will descend to take part in a weekend poker event, sponsored by SIG, the Susquehanna International Group, LLP. Over $70,000 in prizes will be shared out among the winners. College students have been attracted to poker in increasing frequency as online poker has expanded, and one online poker room, Absolute Poker, even hosts a college poker championship where the winner gets a year of school tuition paid for. In this case, the sponsored collegians are candidates for SIG's technology and trading development programs. Requirements for SIG candidates includes critical and analytical thinking, skills required for success in poker.
